RunIT — Customer Agreement

Effective date: 12 September 2026 · Version: 1.0 · Applies to: Customers on the RunIT apps

This Customer Agreement applies when you book a service through the RunIT apps. It sits under the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy; if there is a conflict, the Terms of Service win.

In short: you choose a service, a worker accepts, you agree a price with them, they do the job, and you pay them in cash. RunIT does not handle the money and takes no commission. Workers are not identity- or background-checked.

1. Booking a service

1.1 You request a service and, optionally, a time. RunIT offers the job to nearby Workers and a Booking is formed when one accepts.

1.2 The contract for the work is between you and the Worker. RunIT is not a party to it and is not the supplier of the service.

2. Price

2.1 The price shown in the app is a guide only. Before the Worker starts, agree the final price with them — in the in-app chat for fixed-price services, or on site for services marked "quote".

2.2 Keep the agreement in the chat so there is a record.

3. Paying — cash

3.1 You pay the Worker directly, in cash, normally when the job is finished.

3.2 RunIT does not take payment, hold your money, take a commission, or issue refunds. If you are unhappy with the work, raise it with the Worker first; you can also report it to RunIT (clause 6), but RunIT cannot refund or reverse a cash payment.

3.3 Count the cash before the Worker leaves. Only pay for work that has been done.

4. Cancelling

4.1 You can cancel a Booking in the app at any time before the job is done.

4.2 There is no cancellation fee. Please cancel as early as you can so the Worker is not left waiting. Repeated last-minute cancellations may lead to your account being suspended.

5. Your responsibilities

5.1 Give an accurate address and a safe, lawful place to work. Tell the Worker about anything that affects the job or their safety (pets, gate codes, hazards).

5.2 Be present or arrange responsible access. Treat the Worker with respect.

5.3 Safety: a Worker is an independent person who is not identity-checked by RunIT. Read the Community & Safety guidelines. Do not leave a Worker unsupervised with valuables or vulnerable people if you are not comfortable, and stop any job that feels unsafe.

6. If something goes wrong

6.1 Try to sort it out with the Worker directly.

6.2 You can report a problem, a Worker or a message from the app, or email support@runitt.co.za. RunIT can review the chat, photos and history, mediate, and warn or remove a user. RunIT cannot order or make a payment or refund because it holds no funds.

6.3 Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act against the Worker as supplier are not affected.

7. Your information

RunIT shares your display name and, as the Booking progresses, your approximate then exact address with the Worker. See the Privacy Policy.

8. Changes and ending

RunIT may change this Agreement (notice in the app and at https://runitt.co.za/legal/beta). You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time.
